You work for a software company that has developed a system that provides information about consumers and that is used within a SoS by a number of other retail businesses. They pay you for the services used. Discuss the ethics of changing the system interfaces without notice to coerce users into paying higher charges. Consider this question from the point of view of the company's employees, customers, and shareholders.

 First of all, this is very unethical across the board. This would be putting the employees is a weird position because they are having to do work that they know is unethical. They also might fear talking to the higher ups about this because they do not want to face backlash from them. Customers would be outraged most likely when the interface they paid for has changed and is now making them pay more money and they received no notice of these changes when they paid for the product. This would be a dirty thing to do to customers. Shareholders may or may not care. If the product makes more money because of this change, shareholders will be happy. On the other hand, if the company who makes the product receives a lot of backlash about the change and/or losses money then the shareholders will definitely not be happy. But also I think any shareholder who wants to support fair businesses will see this is a dirty move and not be happy about it.

Ex 11.4.  What is the common characteristic of all architectural styles that are geared to supporting software fault tolerance? Redundant and diverse are the characteristics of all architectural styles that are geared to supporting software fault tolerance.  Ex   11.7.  It has been suggested that the control software for a radiation therapy machine, used to treat patients with cancer, should be implemented using N-version programming. Comment on whether or not you think this is a good suggestion. I think that this is a good suggestion to have the control software implemented using N-version programming. I think this because radiation therapy is a very serious matter and this software can be the reason this person lives or dies.
